MIDDLEFIELD — All Boards Meeting updates on senior center and bridge projects, equipment costs. Middlefield's 19 attending town officials and department chairs reported on fiscal year 2025 work across multiple committees, with Fire Chief Cody Paschal flagging approximately $289,000 needed for new radios when the state transitions to 800-frequency communications. Highway Superintendent Skip Savery announced the Town Hill Bridge is nearly ready to open pending guard rail installation.
Selectboard member Tamarin Laurel-Paine noted new assessor software will require one-time funding and expressed interest in recruiting younger residents to town service.
