Capital Planning Committee approves Phase 1 template for capital-items gathering.

MIDDLEFIELD — The Capital Planning Committee unanimously approved a Phase 1 template and voter transparency form to systematize identification of town assets valued at $10,000 or more requiring maintenance, repair, or replacement. Secretary Crystal Kruszyna presented the template; members will use it to gather capital-item lists from department heads for review at the next meeting on March 25, 2026. Accountant Kirsten Henshaw committed to compiling a Governmental Accounting Standards Board No. 34 list from department heads, while guest Evan Kenny reported that three Middlefield bridge projects are enrolled in the state Chapter 90 small bridge program and are projected to start this year at zero cost to the town.
