Capital Planning Committee · Meeting of May 6, 2026
MIDDLEFIELD — Capital Planning Committee approves unified format for presenting capital spending recommendations. The committee voted unanimously to accept prior minutes and agreed to reorganize departmental capital data into a single document with narrative explanations and weighted rankings based on public health, legal mandate, assessed maintenance, operating efficiency, and community support. Chair Jay Swift said he will consult roofing contractors on the expected lifespan of town roofs at Town Hall, Highway Department, and Fire Department.
Member Mark Lipton will revise the compilation grid with separate departmental pages; submission to the Select Board was tabled pending completion of the revised format.
