Council on Aging approves Mark Doane to fill vacant board seat.

Council on Aging · Meeting of February 11, 2026

MIDDLEFIELD — Council on Aging unanimously nominates Mark Doane to fill a vacant board seat, with Chair Judith Hoag tasked with notifying the Select Board. Treasurer Laura Lafreniere reported the council has spent approximately $3,800, or 16 percent of its town allocation. The board received cultural council grants for a movie license, trips to High Lawn Farms and the reopening Berkshire Museum, and a Bright Nights outing, and scheduled a February 25 screening of a Middlefield Memories DVD featuring resident Marge Batorski.

A Fair breakfast is planned for March 7 at Town Hall, and Ray Gero and Char Gero will host the next Dump Run Cafe on March 8.
