Finance Committee acknowledges Open Meeting Law complaint, moves forward with legal response

MIDDLEFIELD — Finance Committee acknowledges Open Meeting Law complaint merit, refers matter to counsel. The committee voted 3-0 (two members excused) to reference complaint emails in minutes and 3-0 to direct K.P. Law, the town attorney, to respond to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office.
Chair Brent LeBeau said all present members reviewed the draft response and supported its submission. The committee also heard a presentation on Town Hall security cameras from Police Chief Alex Seid, reviewing quotes ranging to $26,500 for a nine- to twelve-camera system with on-site storage and no additional Police Department costs.
