Finance Committee addresses transition planning and post-ATM business.

Finance Committee · Meeting of May 27, 2026

MIDDLEFIELD — Finance Committee plans for vacant chair role and reviews post-Annual Town Meeting business. Present were Chair Brent LeBeau, Louise Harlow, and Kenneth Murray; Noreen Suriner and Judy Hoag were excused. Members discussed feedback from the May 2nd ATM, including concerns about legal fees, bylaws updates, and ambulance services funding.

LeBeau indicated he intends to conduct a detailed review of Transfer Station finances and proposed transitional plans for financial reporting, suggesting either an Excel format or a hybrid system where he would house the financial data and the Secretary would input information into templates. LeBeau flagged the upcoming vacancy in the Chair position and encouraged members to prepare now; Kenneth Murray expressed possible interest in the role.
