Middlefield Finance Committee elects Suriner chair in contested race. Noreen Suriner won a blind ballot election over Ken Murray, with Louise Harlow confirmed as secretary unopposed. Treasurer Kirsten Hanshaw briefed the committee on Capital Planning Committee projects including roof replacements, town hall electrical repairs, police radios, and a new fire truck.
Assessor Laurie LaFreniere reported home assessments are complete and reviewed forecasting, reserves, and overlay policies. Resident Brent Lebeau presented recent financial reports. Next meeting: September 23, 2026.
