MIDDLEFIELD — Select Board approves three sets of prior meeting minutes and hears report on fiscal 2027 budget process. Town Administrator Evan Kenney announced that the Capital Planning Committee, comprising Kirsten Henshaw, Jay Swift, Judith Hoag, Crystal Kruszyna, Mark Lipton, and Ann Marie Visconti, will meet for the first time on January 14, 2026; a Gateway Regional School District representative has not yet been appointed. Chair Visconti reported coordination with the Hinsdale Post Office to address mail delivery disruptions on Town Hill Road caused by an ongoing bridge closure, with the Postmaster exploring temporary delivery through Becket.
Resident Maureen Longobardi raised concerns during public input about the playground procurement process, citing only one bid that exceeded budget and questioning compliance with procurement law and Open Meeting Law.
