Select Board defers playground article; mulls software term length and extra counsel funding.

Select Board · Meeting of March 4, 2026

MIDDLEFIELD — Select Board advances four articles toward March 28 Special Town Meeting warrant. Chair Ann Marie Visconti and members Curt Robie and Tamarin Laurel-Paine deferred a Mutual Ambulance Aid article pending Town Administrator Evan Kenney's analysis of financial implications, but approved draft language for Assessors Software (potentially exceeding $8,000 to cover vendor transition), Town Hall security cameras, and a $15,000 increase to Town Counsel fees for Fiscal Year 2026. A sixth article seeks $6,000 from free cash for prior-year highway oil bills.

Final review is scheduled for the March 18 joint Select Board-Finance Committee meeting.
