Select Board hires architect firm, fills School Committee vacancy

MIDDLEFIELD — Select Board unanimously retains Springfield architect firm, appoints School Committee member. Chair Ann Marie Visconti, Members Curt Robie and Tamarin Laurel-Paine approved Jablonski/Devriese of Springfield as On Call Architect for five years and appointed Stephanie Simonowicz to fill a School Committee vacancy, the sole applicant. Town Administrator Evan Kenney reported incomplete budget submissions from departments and committed to a full proposal before the joint Finance Committee meeting.
The board authorized planning for a Special Town Meeting to address Assessors' software conversion, Town Hall security cameras, Hero Act information, and an increase to the Town Counsel budget account, with at least 14 days' notice required.
