MIDDLEFIELD — Select Board opens fiscal 2027 budget process as department worksheets exclude raises. Town Administrator Evan Kenney announced worksheets are being distributed and follow-up meeting dates will be posted on the town website. Chair Ann Marie Visconti reported the town may be eligible for a $10,000 Community Compact Grant for a paper compactor at the Transfer Station, though the Emergency Management Performance Grant may not be available from the federal government.
The Capital Planning Committee held its first meeting and will examine projects from safety and regulatory standpoints; its next meeting is set for February 25, 2026.
