Selectboard advances fiscal 2027 budget, schedules follow-up meeting.

MIDDLEFIELD — The Middlefield Select Board and Finance Committee advanced work on fiscal 2027 budget during a joint meeting Wednesday. Town Administrator Evan Kenney presented a revised budget showing a $60,642 decrease from the prior year and said a final version would be ready by April 15, 2026. The boards discussed surveillance cameras for the Police Department; Chair Ann Marie Visconti said the item will not reach voters at the March 28 Special Town Meeting if information is incomplete by then.
A follow-up joint meeting is scheduled for April 1 to continue budget refinement and warrant-article preparation.
