Selectboard approves ambulance aid after Hilltown service ends.

Middlefield Selectboard allocates $9,000 to regional ambulance providers following service withdrawal. Chair Ann Marie Visconti's proposal to send $3,000 each to Hinsdale Ambulance, Becket Ambulance, and Dalton Ambulance to defray costs of serving the town was approved unanimously. The action follows Hilltown Ambulance's departure effective April 30, 2026.
Board members also directed Town Administrator Evan Kenney to investigate requirements for a cemetery lawn-mowing contractor and approved prior meeting minutes without objection.
